Update 3/15 - I hired Smucker Fencing again to install support railings at my parents' home, and we had the same great experience! Everyone was very easy to work with, the railings were installed for the best fit of use and attractiveness, and I'm relieved my parents will have this extra support to prevent future falls. Thank you!

We hired Smucker Fencing to replace my parents' dilapidated chain link fence with something more attractive and secure. My mom chose a nice aluminum fence with a double wide gate and another pedestrian gate. Working with John, Ben, and Karen was a smooth and positive experience and my mom was very happy with the crew who came to do the work! Of her experience she said, "Communication was great. Work performance was extraordinary. Clean up was exceptional. Made our yard look outstanding and very inviting." And very cute... the other evening I asked what she was doing and she said she was outside admiring the new fence :-) Great work!

From my initial phone call to the scheduling to the installation I was very pleased with all of it. I had an old wooden fence removed and replaced. They cleaned up the entire area when done too! Please call them to do your project-or at least get a quote. I think you’ll be glad you did. Thanks for everything!!

It has been a 15 year dream that is finally coming true. We had to do a lot of grading and have retaining walls built before we could have our fence installed. Once they were done, the next step was finding the right company and the right product. I was ready to sign the contract with a fencing contractor out of York, PA but my gut feeling just wouldn't let me do it. I decided to speak with one more contractor, that was John Smucker.

We were looking for five foot, black aluminum, commercial grade. John's price on the Regis brand fence was in line with the price from the other company but the fence quality was not as good. Additionally, the Regis fence is screwless giving it a cleaner look.

I know what I wanted to achieve, conveying that to a contractor causes me stress because in the past I have had situations where contractors did not do as requested causing conflict and stress.

John told me Matt would be the person installing our fence. He said, "You will like Matt." This is a brother speaking about his younger sibling who runs one of his crews.

Matt is a sweetheart. He is so humble and takes tremendous pride in his work. The attention to detail is second to none. He frequently stopped, paused and asked if what he did was to my liking. He just wanted to ensure we got the job we wanted.

One of the other things that sold me on this company is the option to "rack the gates." Instead of installing squared gates in the middle of a section of fence that is going downhill, these gates are welded so they will follow the slope of the fence avoiding an eye sore. To further ensure this is right, John suggested the fence be installed, then measurements obtained so the gates could be manufactured to the precise measurements Matt obtained.

I am a mom of three and have a son Matt's age. I jokingly yelled across the yard, "Matt, I'm in love with you." This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had when it comes to hiring a contractor.
